Why transfer videotape or film to DVD?
Over time, the magnetic particles on videotape that make up the picture and sound on your video begin to lose their bond to the plastic tape. You can permanently destroy a videotape by simply playing it a single time. These particles (iron oxide) can also become detached from the plastic tape over time even without playback.
Film degrades and becomes very brittle to the point it will not feed through a projector. Permanent damage can occur during playback. And many customers no longer have a working projector. Converting film to DVD preserves these priceless memories that can be viewed again and again.
What formats do you accept for transfer to DVD?
We accept all tape formats. We also transfer photographs, scrapbooks and documents to DVD.
How much footage can I fit on a DVD?
We can transfer up to 2 hours of high quality video from your tape. If your tape contains
only 1 hour or less, we will be able to take advantage of even higher encoding bit rates to produce
a super-high quality DVD.
How long does it take to create my DVD?
From the time we receive your source material, turnaround time is approximately 2 to 3 weeks.
We can also accommodate short deadline projects. This can also depend on the complexity of your
order. Highly customized orders sometimes take longer. Typically, you should allow 5 to 10 days for
processing.
What should I do if my DVD does not play in my DVD player?
Our DVDs are compatible with most DVD players on the market today. We follow DVD standards
when creating your DVD. We require you specify the DVD player and model you have on the order form
so we can check compatibility. Unfortunately, refunds are not available because of compatibility issues.
Can I add music to my scenes?
Absolutely.
What is your return/refund policy if I do not like my DVD?
We will replace your DVD if it is found to be defective upon viewing. We do ask that you provide
us with the manufacturer and model number of your DVD player so we can continually update our
compatibility list.
Is the quality good?
As the saying goes "Garbage In, Garbage Out". The quality of your finished DVD program will
only be as good as the program material we receive. Our digital process will replicate the clarity of
your original.
